You think you are protecting yourself from failure?

You know you have some really great ideas about starting your own business.  You have worked so hard in the last few years and are tired of the being a resource for someone else’s businss.  You might be thinking, I know how I would do this differently.  Hell, your manager and all the company clients call you instead of scheduling through the office.  What does this tell you?  You must be really great at what you do, right?  Damn straight!

You keep kicking yourself for not spending the time to plan out your next steps.  There has been an aweful lot of talk, talk, and more talk about starting your own business. Blah, blah, blah…

Sounds like you are talking the talk, but not walking the walk.  What do I mean by that? Well, if you were really walking the walk, you would have done more research, checked into writing your business plan and have some clue about who your ideal clients would be.  You would know how much money you need to get on your feet, have a little free cashflow for the start-up and even a 1 and 5 year plan ready to go, right?

What the heck are you waiting for?  You need the push or maybe the final kick in the pants, to just do it!  You know I am talking about you now.  What do you have to say for your lack of action now?  I know there is a big couragious lion in there waiting to pounce on this opportunity, but if you wait too long it will literally pass you by.  You will be watching someone else fulfill your dream job or business, while you sit there again and keep asking yourself why did’nt I just invest a little money in myself to get the kick in the pants I need, working with a career coach, to get you moving?

This scenario is like the next million dollar idea, the next successful company, or the next career professional who takes companies by storm and rocks their performance from underperforming to continual improvement year over year!  That’s YOU!
